Bullibone contacted me asking if I’d try out their new product, Spin-a-Bone. This toy is a winner and my dogs loved it!
What is a Spin-a-Bone? It’s an American made, bacon flavored super tough nylon interactive dog chew that spins like a top. A take-off on the fidget spinners the kids are crazy about, Spin-a-Bone is not only a great chew, but is fun to play with. Just ask my five dogs!
All my dogs obviously took to this toy. Each grabbed an end, or tried, and formed a canine sprocket. Bullibone has a winner with Spin-a-Bone. I wish I had four more! Each dog needs their own Spin-a-Bone! Happy dogs rock! Thanks Bullibone for allowing me to try your product in exchange for an honest review of Spin-a-Bone.
I have to admit that I LOVE innovation, and this dog washing product piqued my interest. It’s called Aquapaw.
It’s a hose you use to wash your dog. But this hose solves a very real problem. How many times has this scenario happened to you?
You’re in the garage or outside in the yard washing your dog. Your one hand holds the leash so that your dog doesn’t escape. Your other hand holds the hose. You wet down the dog. Now you need shampoo. Wish you had a third hand? Me, too!
Aquapaw attaches to your garden hose or your bath showerhead. You activate the spray nozzle by pressing your finger against your palm. It appears you have complete water control while you shampoo your pet.
This product has launched on Kickstarter. Check it out and play the video for more information. The inventor approached me to spread the word about the product, and once the samples arrive he will send me one to review. So look for my product review on Aquapaw real soon!
I just received a case of new West Paw Design Zogoflex Air dog toys. Today, I’m reviewing the Boz dog ball, a textured squishy dog ball for obsessive fetchers.
It looks like a brain. It’s made from Zogoflex Air material that is soft on a dog’s mouth. Features include:
More durable than a tennis ball
Non-toxic and recyclable
Easy to grab
Made in the U.S.A.
The Boz comes in two sizes, 2.5″ and 4″. I currently carry the Currant and Peacock colors. Available individually at WelcomePup.com and also as part of the Fetching Pup Dog Gift Box that includes a 2.5″ Boz and the new Dash flying disc, made from the same Zogoflex Air material but with a funky new shape and look.
I have three pet retrievers and am VERY particular about the toys they play with. They destroy or ingest plush toys and some solid ones. West Paw Zogoflex toys are THE ONLY TOYS I’D RECOMMEND FOR TOUGH CHEWERS. Trust me–I’ve paid the medical bills for the intestinal surgery when one of my pups ate a rope toy. Don’t buy rope toys–ever! I was given a bench seat cover by Kurgo in exchange for an honest review of their product. This product review has a twist at the end–literally!
There is one thing you can say about Kurgo dog products–they are made very well. The Car Seat Cover has a lifetime warranty, which means Kurgo unconditionally guarantees their product against manufacturing defects for the life of their product.
Out of the box this durable waterproof double-stitched seam canvas bench seat cover looked simple enough to install. It was. I’ll show you how!
This is what it looked like out of the box. This is not a sexy fabric folks. This is a practical fabric. This is canvas and it’s going to look like canvas, but it’s durable, waterproof and easy to clean or scrub. It will protect your seats. It will get the job done!
The seat cover has two black loops on top (to be slipped over the rear bench headrest), an adjustable black strap that adjusts behind the bench seat you are covering to provide a snug fit, and a thin elastic cord under seat attachment. The under seat attachment has a single barrel cord lock that keeps the canvas from slipping off the bottom bench cushion. That’s a good thing. (more…)
I was sent a Tru-Fit Smart Harness for my dog in exchange for an honest review of the product. I have two golden retrievers and a lab golden cross. Two ride nicely in the hatch of my Jeep. One hates the car and is a spazzo. Her name is Skye. She panics, jumps from the hatch to the back seat and then uses her head to burrow behind the driver to hide. If the driver can’t restrain her, she’ll force her way over the console panting, drooling and then climbing into the front passenger seat. I was very excited to try this harness restraint. My life was in danger.
I tried it on Kimber first because she is solid and calm–although she doesn’t look calm here. Trust me, the sun was in her eyes.
Out of the box, the harness looks like it does above. The harness is very well made with durable material and solid hardware. Well done. The harness goes over the dog’s head and buckles on both sides under the dog. Do not expect to take the harness out of the box, throw it on, clip it to the seat belt and five minutes later go out for coffee or ice cream. It doesn’t work that way. You must have time to fit the harness to the dog. Once all straps are adjusted so that the dog is secure but still has circulation (two fingers underneath straps comfortably, please), then you can attach your dog to the seat belt and take off. Our family has three retrievers and a horse. Our family has a lot of pet hair. That’s why I was so excited to try the CarPET Pet Hair Remover. This tool really works!
Sticky rollers are great to sweep across your clothing when you’re running out the door. But for the big jobs, you need the CarPET. Seriously…you know how many sticky sheets it would take you to clean the upholstery on your furniture? Or your carpet? Or your car where the dog likes to sit? With CarPET, you just rinse it and use it again and again. I used it on my bedroom carpet and was embarrassed by the results.
You know what a pain it is to haul out the vacuum to clean the carpeted staircase? And the vacuum head doesn’t get in the crevices that well. Instead, I grabbed the CarPET and it’s fantastic. It gathered wads of dog hair into nice little piles that I could easily pick up and throw away. It’s great for the car, too, especially on the seat where the dog sits. It works terrific on upholstered furniture, too, because the short rubber nubs don’t harm the fabric.
It’s product review time and I have a great gift idea for sports lovers that share their couch or “Bark”alounger with their beloved furry friend. In exchange for an honest review of their product, my friends over at Remarkabowl sent me a few of their brand new bowls made just for pets. Skye and Sydney checked them out.
There they are, ready for the big game and eyeing up the Remarkabowls. They know the bowls are empty, but they can’t take their eyes off how realistic they look. Remarkabowls are the first pet bowls that are textured to feel like a real sports ball.
Made of 100% polypropylene and 100% BPA free (that’s a good thing!), these bowls are for food or water and meet all ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and FDA (U.S. Food & Drug Administration) safety standards. They are also taste and odor free. That’s important because when the girls eat, they want to smell their dog food. The bowls are dishwasher safe and tough enough for indoor or outdoor use. (more…)
I was contacted by Ruha.com who offered me their product in exchange for an honest review of their custom leather permanent laser engraved dog collar. Excellent. My creative juices flowed all over my laptop!
They directed me to their site to begin my custom production and I’ve got to tell you, it was fun! Here’s the final product. Now I’ll cover the design process in more detail.
I decided to design a collar for the top dog at WelcomePup.com, Skye! She likes a three-quarter inch collar and her favorite color is red. They had both. Fantastic!
The sizing is as follows:
Small: 1/2 inch leather collar fitting a 8-14 inch neck.
Medium: 3/4 inch leather collar fitting a 13-20 inch neck.
Large: 1 inch leather collar fitting an 18-23 inch neck.
Extra Large: 1 1/2 inch leather collar fitting a 22-27 inch neck.
Next you select your leather color: vintage white, red or tan.
Now on to the engraving.
The collars use permanent laser engraving. There are 5 design choices available: (more…)
We all agree that dogs need water. But trying to give your thirsty dog water when traveling in a car can sometimes be a real mess.
I’d take bottled water and pour it into a dish. My dog would take a few sips and then dump it with its paw.
Hard shell bowls are hard to transport, so I bought those canvas collapsible kind. My dog would take a few sips and then using her nose she’d collapse a canvas side giving me a water soaked car.
So when HighWave contacted me and asked me to do an honest review of their new product, the HighWave Auto Dog Mug, I jumped on it. There had to be an easier way to water my pup in the car.
The Auto Dog Mug looks like a blue water bottle with a plunger on top. Odd looking at first, but when you see what the design accomplishes you’re totally on-board with the concept. The plastic composite is BPA free and food safe and it comes with a great Velcro strap for attaching the bottle to bikes or canvas strapping or a carabiner while taking hikes. (more…)
